၂၀၁၅ ခုႏွစ္၊ အျပည္ျပည္ဆိုင္ရာ ဒီမိုကေရစီေန႔ အထိမ္းအမွတ္ အခမ္းအနားကို ေနျပည္ေတာ္မွာ စက္တင္ဘာလ (၁၅) ရက္ေန႔က က်င္းပရာ ေဒၚေအာင္ဆန္းစုၾကည္ တက္ေရာက္ခဲ့ပါတယ္။ အခမ္းအနားမွာ အမ်ိဳးသားဒီမိုကေရစီ အဖြဲ႕ခ်ဳပ္ ကိုယ္စား ေအာက္ပါအတိုင္း မိန္႔ခြန္းေျပာၾကားခဲ့ပါတယ္။
ေလးစားရပါေသာ ျပည္ေထာင္စုလႊတ္ေတာ္ နာယကၾကီးႏွင့္ ဒီမိုကေရစီရဲ႕ မိတ္ေဆြမ်ားရွင္
ျပည္ေထာင္စုလႊတ္ေတာ္ၾကီးမွာ ပဥၥမအၾကိမ္က်င္းပတဲ့ အျပည္ျပည္ဆိုင္ရာ ဒီမိုကေရစီေန႔မွာ အမ်ိဳးသားဒီမိုကေရစီအဖြဲ႕ခ်ဳပ္ ကိုယ္စား၊ တက္ေရာက္ေျပာဆိုခြင့္ရတဲ့အတြက္ ၀မ္းေျမာက္ဂုဏ္ယူ ပါတယ္။
ႏုိင္ငံတကာ ပါလီမန္မ်ား ဆိုင္ရာသမဂၢ (Inter-Parliamentary Union) က၊ ကမကထျပဳျပီး၊ အျပည္ျပည္ဆိုင္ရာ ဒီမုိကေရစီေန႔ေတြ က်င္းပျခင္းဟာ၊ ဒီမိုကေရစီစနစ္ေဖၚေဆာင္ရာ၌ လႊတ္ေတာ္မ်ားရဲ႕ အခန္းက႑ အေရးပါပံုကို အသိအမွတ္ျပဳျခင္းပဲျဖစ္ပါတယ္။
ယၡဳႏွစ္အတြက္ ဒီမိုကေရစီေန႔ ေဆာင္ပုဒ္ကေတာ့ `ဒီမိုကေရစီအတြက္ ျပည္သူမ်ား ပါ၀င္ ေဆာင္ရြက္´ `Public Participation for Democracy´ ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ ယခုႏွစ္မွာပဲ ကြ်န္မတို႔ႏိုင္ငံ ဒီမိုကေရစီ အုတ္ျမစ္ခ်ႏိုင္ေရးအတြက္ အဓိကသက္ေရာက္မႈရိွမဲ့ အေထြေထြေရြးေကာက္ပြဲၾကီး က်င္းပမွာ ျဖစ္တဲ့အတြက္၊ အင္မတန္မွ သင့္ေတာ္ ပါတယ္။ ျပည္သူေတြရဲ႕ ပါ၀င္ပတ္သက္မႈ နဲ႔သာ ေရြးေကာက္ပြဲၾကီး ေအာင္ျမင္စြာ ျပီးေျမာက္ႏိုင္မွာပါ။
အမ်ိဳးသား ဒီမိုကေရစီ အဖြဲ႕ခ်ဳပ္ကို စတင္ဖြဲ႕စည္းခဲ့ခ်ိန္ကစျပီး ကြ်န္မတို႔ႏိုင္ငံအတြက္ စစ္မွန္တဲ့ ဒီမိုကေရစီျပည္ေထာင္စု ေပၚထြန္းေရး၊ အမ်ိဳးသားရင္ၾကားေစ့ေရး မူတို႔ကို စြဲကိုင္ခါ၊ ဒီမိုကေရစီနဲ႔ အေျခခံလူ႔အခြင့္အေရးတို႔ ရႏိုင္ရန္ ၾကိဳးပမ္း ခဲ့ပါတယ္။ ဒီၾကိဳးပမ္းမႈရဲ႕ တစ္စိတ္တစ္ပိုင္းအျဖစ္၊ ၁၉၉၀ ခုႏွစ္ အေထြေထြေရြးေကာက္ပြဲနဲ႔၊ ၂၀၁၂ ၾကားျဖတ္ေရြးေကာက္ပြဲ တို႔မွာ ပါ၀င္ယွဥ္ျပိဳင္ခဲ့ရာ၊ ျပည္သူ လူထုရဲ႕ တခဲနက္ေထာက္ခံမႈကို ရရိွခဲ့ပါတယ္။ ဤသည္မွာ ကြ်န္မတို႔တုိင္းသူျပည္သားမ်ားရဲ႕ ဒီမိုကေရစီအတြက္ ပါ၀င္ေဆာင္ရြက္လိုတဲ့ ဆႏၵျပင္းျပေၾကာင္း ျပသ လိုက္တာပဲ ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။
၂၀၁၂ ၾကားျဖတ္ေရြးေကာက္ပြဲမွာ ပါ၀င္ယွဥ္ျပိဳင္ခဲ့ျခင္းေၾကာင့္ ဒီမိုကေရစီျဖစ္စဥ္ရဲ႕ အဓိက အက်ဆံုးလုပ္ငန္းတစ္ရပ္ျဖစ္တဲ့ ဥပေဒျပဳေရးမွာ အမ်ိဳးသားဒီမိုကေရစီအဖြဲ႕ခ်ဳပ္ ပါ၀င္ ပူးေပါင္း ေဆာင္ရြက္ခြင့္ ရခဲ့တာကို ဂုဏ္ယူတန္ဖိုးထား ပါတယ္။
ကြ်န္မတို႔ႏိုင္ငံကို အမွန္တကယ္ ဒီမိုကေရစီ လူ႔အဖြဲ႕အစည္းတစ္ရပ္အျဖစ္ ေျပာင္းလဲႏိုင္ဖို႔ရာ၊ ဖြဲ႕စည္းပံုအေျခခံဥပေဒ ျပင္ဆင္ေျပာင္းလဲေရးအပါအ၀င္၊ ေဆာင္ရြက္ရမဲ့ လုပ္ငန္းတာ၀န္ အမ်ားအျပား ရိွပါေသးတယ္။ ဒီလုပ္ငန္းေတြအနက္၊ ေလာေလာဆယ္ အထူးအေလးထား ေဆာင္ရြက္ ရမွာကေတာ့ ႏို၀င္ဘာလ (၈) ရက္ေန႔မွာ က်ေရာက္မဲ့ အေထြေထြ ေရြးေကာက္ပြဲၾကီး လြတ္လပ္ တရားမွ်တျပီး၊ တည္ျငိမ္ေအးခ်မ္းစြာ ျဖစ္ေျမာက္ေရးနဲ႔ ေရြးေကာက္ပြဲမွ ထြက္ေပၚလာတဲ့ ျပည္သူ႔ ဆႏၵကို ေလးစား အေကာင္အထည္ေဖၚႏုိင္ေရးတို႔ ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။

ျပည္သူလူထုရဲ႕ စိတ္အားထက္သန္တဲ့ ပါ၀င္ေဆာင္ရြက္မႈနဲ႔ စစ္မွန္တဲ့ ဒီမုိကေရစီ ဖက္ဒရယ္ ျပည္ေထာင္စုၾကီး ျမန္ဆန္ေအးခ်မ္းစြာ ေပၚထြန္းလာေစေၾကာင္းမွာ အမ်ိဳးသားဒီမိုကေရစီအဖြဲ႕ခ်ဳပ္ရဲ႕ ယခုႏွစ္ အျပည္ျပည္ဆိုင္ရာ ဒီမိုကေရစီေန႔အတြက္ ဆုေတာင္းျဖစ္ပါတယ္။

Daw Aung San Suu Kyi attended the fifth celebration of the International Democracy Day at the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw on 15th September, 2015 and made a speech on behalf of the National League for Democracy. Below is the translation of the speech.

Honourable Speaker of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw and friends of democracy:

It is a pleasure and an honour to speak on behalf of the National League for Democracy at this fifth celebration of International Democracy Day at the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw.
The celebration of International Democracy Day under the aegis of the Inter-Parliamentary Union constitutes recognition of the essential role of the legislature in the establishment of a democratic system.

This year, the theme for International Day for Democracy is “Public Participation for Democracy”. This is most appropriate as the general elections, which will have a crucial bearing on laying the democratic foundation of our country, will also be held this year. Only with the participation of the people will the elections be crowned with success.

Since it was founded in 1988, the National League for Democracy has endeavoured to win democracy and basic human rights for our country while holding fast to our principal aims, a true democratic federal union and national reconciliation. As part of our endeavours, we participated in the General Elections of 1990 and the by-elections of 2012, and gained the overwhelming support of the people. This demonstrated the ardent desire of our public to participate for democracy.

We value and take pride in the opportunity that participation in the by-elections of 2012 afforded the National League for Democracy to join in the legislative process that is an essential part of the democratic process.
There still remain many tasks, including amendments of the Constitution, to be completed before our country can truly make the transformation to a democratic society. Among these, of immediate and particular importance is to ensure that the coming elections are free, fair and tranquil; and that the will of the people, as expressed through the elections, is honoured and implemented.

The extent of real success that ensues from the 2015 General Elections will be clear evidence of the meaningfulness and measure of the democratization process in our country.

The International Democracy Day wish of the National League for Democracy is the swift and peaceful realization of a true democratic federal union.

၂၀၁၂ ကြားဖြတ်ရွေးကောက်ပွဲမှာ ပါဝင်ယှဉ်ပြိုင်ခဲ့ခြင်းကြောင့် ဒီမိုကရေစီဖြစ်စဉ်ရဲ့ အဓိက အကျဆုံးလုပ်ငန်းတစ်ရပ်ဖြစ်တဲ့ ဥပဒေပြုရေးမှာ အမျိုးသားဒီမိုကရေစီအဖွဲ့ချုပ် ပါဝင် ပူးပေါင်း ဆောင်ရွက်ခွင့် ရခဲ့တာကို ဂုဏ်ယူတန်ဖိုးထား ပါတယ်။
ကျွန်မတို့နိုင်ငံကို အမှန်တကယ် ဒီမိုကရေစီ လူ့အဖွဲ့အစည်းတစ်ရပ်အဖြစ် ပြောင်းလဲနိုင်ဖို့ရာ၊ ဖွဲ့စည်းပုံအခြေခံဥပဒေ ပြင်ဆင်ပြောင်းလဲရေးအပါအဝင်၊ ဆောင်ရွက်ရမဲ့ လုပ်ငန်းတာဝန် အများအပြား ရှိပါသေးတယ်။ ဒီလုပ်ငန်းတွေအနက်၊ လောလောဆယ် အထူးအလေးထား ဆောင်ရွက် ရမှာကတော့ နိုဝင်ဘာလ (၈) ရက်နေ့မှာ ကျရောက်မဲ့ အထွေထွေ ရွေးကောက်ပွဲကြီး လွတ်လပ် တရားမျှတပြီး၊ တည်ငြိမ်အေးချမ်းစွာ ဖြစ်မြောက်ရေးနဲ့ ရွေးကောက်ပွဲမှ ထွက်ပေါ်လာတဲ့ ပြည်သူ့ ဆန္ဒကို လေးစား အကောင်အထည်ဖေါ်နိုင်ရေးတို့ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။
